Description

Replacing the 365 GT 2+2, the 365 GTC/ 4 was produced only in 1971 and 1972. Its chassis was almost identical to the Daytona’s, but stretched by 10 cm to make room for two small rear seats. It benefited from specifications that gave it better comfort than the Daytona, such as softer suspension springs and power steering. The V12 engine was similar to the Daytona’s, but with output reduced to 340 bhp to give it a character more suited to a proper grand tourer. Switching from vertical carburettors to side-mounted ones allowed for a lower bonnet line, and the gearbox was bolted directly to the engine instead of to the rear axle, as on the Daytona. Replaced fairly quickly by the 365 GT/ 4 2+2, it had only a limited production run—505 examples—making it a rare car.

The model shown dates from 1972 and was delivered by M. G Crepaldi Automobili in Milan (Italy). It’s still in its original specification: Blu Ribot 2. 442. 631 by Italvert, with its Pelle nera Cogolo interior.
The engine and gearbox are original; only the differential has been replaced, as is often the case, a few years ago. It is nevertheless certified by Ferrari Classiche and retains its inestimable red folder.
It’s also matching colours: a model that has always remained original, showing low mileage of under 84, 000 km.

The 365 GTC/ 4 is a very close relative of the fabulous Daytona, at a price that’s more approachable for a Ferrari powered by the legendary 60° V12 of 4, 390 cc, developing 340 bhp. Built in just 505 examples, the 365 GTC/ 4 is a rare car offering many advantages: 4 seats, a very strong V12, an undeniably timeless 1970s silhouette, and unmistakable Italian class.

Let yourself be won over by this worthy representative of V12-powered Ferraris.
