The 105 series Bertone GT coupé was launched in 1963 and designed by the young Giorgetto Giugiaro working at Bertone. This particular model is the coveted "Scalino", which means letterbox, so named because of the distinctive slot between the bonnet and the grille, a last-minute modification to improve engine cooling that has become an iconic feature of the car. This Bertone GT is a beautifully restored example of the model.
It was carefully restored to its original condition by the current owner in 2021. The complete restoration, backed up by invoices, makes this an exceptional vehicle for any classic car enthusiast. The Scalino was a particularly popular GT car in 1969 because of its 5-speed gearbox, double overhead camshafts and disc brakes. The paintwork is the original Alfa Romeo Rosso Competizione red.
