The Appeal
The 1962 Ford Galaxie 500 Club Victoria is a handsome example of Ford's full-size range from the early 1960s. Its highly desirable pillarless hardtop body style, with no central B-pillar, creates a completely open and airy side profile when the windows are lowered, one of the defining features of the Club Victoria and a design element that continues to attract enthusiasts today.
At almost six metres long and powered by Ford's FE Big Block V8, the Galaxie 500 carries considerable road presence that's still loaded with muscle. The model also enjoys an important place in American motorsport history, with Galaxies competing successfully in NASCAR and stock car racing during the 1960s. Similar cars continue to be seen today in historic touring car racing and classic motorsport events, including appearances at major European circuits, reflecting the model's enduring appeal and competition heritage.
This particular example was discovered on a ranch in Montana and has since been imported into Spain, with all EU duties and taxes paid and customs clearance completed. It is offered as a restoration project, retaining its 352ci FE V8 engine and three-speed automatic transmission, which the vendor believes to be original or period-correct.
An extensive package of spare parts accompanies the vehicle, and the vendor notes that most missing items are smaller, relatively inexpensive service-related components that can be sourced within Europe.
