The Appeal
To fill the void left by the Austin Healey 3000, which ceased production in December 1967, the MGC was launched as a six-cylinder sibling to the B-Series-powered MGB. Rarer, more muscular, and longer-legged than the ubiquitous 'B', the MGC was produced for just two model years, from 1967 to 1969. With relatively few produced, the MGC GT has become a highly sought-after classic.
This 1969 example appears to be well cared for and has benefited from recent specialist attention. An MG specialist carried out a service in April 2025, during which many faults were rectified, and it holds a current MOT with no advisories. The vendor states that both the exterior and interior are in very good order, noting only some tiny blisters on both rear quarter panels. Underneath, the car is reported to be exceedingly good, having been painted and wax oiled rather than undersealed. Two large history folders accompany the car, including photographs of its restoration. It has been dry-stored in a garage and has never been driven in the wet during the current ownership.image.png4.82 MB
