The Appeal
The Porsche 928 was the company's first V8-powered production car, designed as a more refined grand tourer to - speculatively - replace the 911. While that never actually happened, it's obvious that this was intended to be something special. The handling was superb and accessible, the styling smart and determined, and it had pop-up headlights. It ticked all of the coolness boxes.

Imported from South Africa, this 928S benefits from a life spent in a hot, dry climate, and looks particularly solid. Couple that with the early sports seats, of which only 371 were fitted to Rest of World market cars between 1981 and 1984, and the manual gearbox, and you've a particularly desirable example of Porsche's V8-powered tourer.
