The Appeal
Limited to just 911 numbered examples worldwide, the 1993 Porsche 911 (964) "30 Jahre" ranks among the most sought-after versions from the air-cooled 911 era. Unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show in March 1993, this anniversary series combines the wide arches and uprated braking system of the 964 Turbo with a naturally aspirated 3.6-litre flat-six and Carrera 4 all-wheel-drive transmission. However, it retains the more understated rear profile of the Carrera, with its retractable wing, rather than the Turbo's fixed spoiler. This combination represents one of the defining characteristics of this limited series.
This French-registered example wears Metallic Polar Grey paired with Rubicon leather trim, one of three colour combinations offered on this edition. It has been in the hands of its current owner since 2008 and is said to have been kept dry and under cover throughout this period.
The car is reported to have recently undergone a mechanical overhaul including replacement of the fuel pump, air filter, along with an engine and gearbox oil change. The rocker cover gasket is also said to have been resealed. The seller describes the entire car as being in very good condition, from the bodywork and paint through to the interior and mechanics. With 83,620 km on the clock, this example represents a rare opportunity to acquire a 911 Carrera 30th Anniversary in a particularly distinctive configuration. image.png3.13 MB
