The Appeal
Alfa Romeo's Spider became a much-honoured lineage thanks to the Guilia back in the '60s. Nearly thirty years later, it was replaced with this - the new 916 series. The new Spider was a sharp-featured roadster that felt bang up-to-date and fully worthy of the nameplate. and undeniably fun to drive - thanks in no small part to the much-loved, sonorous twin-spark under the bonnet.
This particular Spider stands out for its remarkably low mileage of just 44,920 miles, supported by a comprehensive service history. The current owner has recently invested significantly in mechanical preparation, resulting in a Spider that looks in very good order and performs well, as proven during a recent 2,500-mile European tour.
Then acquired by the second registered keeper (a car club member) in October 2001
Purchased by the current owner in April 2024
MOT valid until March 2026, with consistent testing history showing gradual mileage accumulation
Comprehensive service history from new, initially maintained by the supplying dealer (SGT)
Documented service history includes timing belt replacements and regular maintenance
In 2019, £2,898 was spent recommissioning the car after a period of non-use
The current owner has invested approximately £2,700 with Autolusso for comprehensive servicing and mechanical work
Original number plates from the supplying dealer still fitted
