The Appeal
The Cerbera marked a bold new chapter for TVR: the Blackpool firm's first fixed-roof GT and the debut of its bespoke AJP V8 engine. In 4.2-litre, 360bhp form, the Cerbera delivered a thrilling blend of straight-line ferocity and long-legged touring ability, all wrapped in one of the most dramatic shapes to emerge from any British manufacturer in the 1990s. Nearly three decades on, the magic is still alive and well, seducing a whole new generation of enthusiast.
This 1997 example stands apart from the crowd thanks to its rare factory-option pearlescent white paintwork - known colloquially as 'Flip Flop Yellow' - paired with a distinctive Fern Green and Irish Mist two-tone leather interior. It is a combination that is unlikely to be replicated elsewhere, and suits the Cerbera's long-nosed, low-down stance to a tee. The car has been in the current owner's hands since June 2010 and has been garage stored throughout, covering very few miles in that time. It was SORN'd between 2020 and 2025 before being recommissioned and returned to the road, with a service carried out in February 2025 and a fresh MOT obtained.
The history file includes a stamped service book and specialist invoices charting the car's maintenance from its first service at 947 miles right through to 2025. The file also includes the original factory order sheet and correspondence from TVR. Mechanically, the car benefits from Nitron suspension, an AP Racing clutch, and braided steel brake hoses. tvr-cerbera-s4942934-7-david-mellor.webp228.31 KB
