The Appeal

The Impreza was the classic ‘win on Sunday, sell on Monday’ car, yet it took Subaru UK a little time to clock on. To counter the influx of enthusiast-bought grey imports, Subaru turned to Prodrive to create this, the UK-market limited edition P1.

To differentiate the car from all those imports, Prodrive elected to use the stiffer 2 door shell. There was a larger catalyser, new exhaust and remapped ECU. The firm tested 22 different suspension setups before settling on one ideally suited to UK roads. A Peter Stevens exterior redesign plus optional 18in OZ Racing alloys (as fitted to this car) completed the picture. A mere 1,000 units of Prodrive's masterpiece were made available, making the option to own this car a very limited one indeed.

This is car 844. We’re told that it is fresh from a comprehensive restoration by specialists Triple R retaining all original parts and including a respray in correct Sonic Blue. Since buying the car in 2024 the vendor has spent a further £33,000. This work included full new engine, new air conditioning system and a very long list of further work that is detailed below.. There is also a £5,000 sound system with a Pioneer flip out stereo including DVD, CD, DAB+, Sat Nav, Android Auto & CarPlay capabilities. The car retains the correct Prodrive suspension and benefits from an Alcon Prodrive Big Brake conversion.

The condition is impressive, huge efforts pre-baked into this amazing example to keep it fresh. It comes with lengthy, advisory-free MOT to September 2026 to help seal the deal.
