The Appeal
For many, the E90 is the last true, great BMW. While we know Munich has delivered lauded cars since, it’s generally agreed that this generation 3-Series is one of the firm’s absolute best. Nimble, communicative and surprisingly comfortable too, the E90 is the consummate all-rounder.
If your preferences are for a decent balance of drivability, performance and comfort then the pick of the range has to be the 335. With over 300bhp on tap, its very quick, and with the M Sport package, it handles equally well.
This 2009 335i E93 convertible is a facelift model with that M Sport pack and the addition of Highline luxury fittings. Finished in Black Sapphire with a Dakota cream leather cabin trimmed in Popar wood, it is a very smart and nicely specified example. That folding hard top delivers coupe or convertible motoring at the touch of a button.
The vendor acquired the ar in 2023 to join his small collection. The history file indicates he hasn’t spared on the maintenance - since 2023 the bills amount to several thousand pounds despite the sparing use. Highlights include new radiator, cam cover gasket, front and rear shock absorbers, new rear discs, pads and calipers and regular annual servicing. The water pump, power steering pump and auxiliary belts have also been replaced. The MOT runs to May 2026 with no mechanical or structural advisories.
The E90 is the car that seems to have it all. The choice of hard top, open top, full auto or semi-auto also means this car suits virtually any driving mood.
