The Appeal
The Wolf GB08 is a purpose-built single-seat racing car renowned in formula racing circles for its aerodynamic design and featherweight construction. At just 570kg, the GB08 offers a thrilling power-to-weight ratio and, according to the vendor, aerodynamics that are second to none.
This particular example has been comprehensively rebuilt with an impressive specification. At its heart sits a new Bourne High Performance Powertrains Honda K20R engine with only dyno and shakedown hours to its name, mated to a Sadev SL75-14 six-speed sequential gearbox operated via a new Life Racing pneumatic paddle shift system. Northampton Motorsport carried out a comprehensive electrical and control system overhaul, fitting a new race wiring loom, ECU, PDU, and drive-by-wire throttle.
The carbon bodywork presents well, currently wrapped in a striking gold and green vinyl livery with various sponsorship decals. The car has been dry-stored in a garage, and both engine and gearbox oils have just been changed. For anyone seeking a track-ready single-seater with a freshly built, high-specification powertrain and minimal hours on its key components, this Wolf GB08 warrants serious attention.
