Description
The final P4 models, produced between 1962 and 1964 were the 95 and 110. The 95 was similar to the outgoing 100 but the 110 was the fastest and most powerful P4 built with a claimed 123bhp and 100 mph top speed, thanks to increased compression ratio and “Weslake” designed cylinder head.
This car is a 1964 110 in blue. It came to us as a bereavement sale; the last owner was part way through a refurbishment which we have finished. A long list of new parts have been fitted recently, including a new brake servo, master cylinder, fluid reservoir with cap, various new brake pipes and flexi hoses, two new front brake callipers, new shock absorbers, two new rear leaf springs, fuel tank sender, upgraded anti roll bar kit, speedometer cable, heater valve, voltage regulator and various new cooling hoses. It’s also had a comprehensive engine service including new leads, plugs, cap, points, rotor arm and oil change. The tyres are matching Firestone radials. The cost of the parts alone is well over £2k.
The 2. 6 litre engine starts instantly and runs smoothly; it drives and stops well after all the expenditure and the overdrive functions.
As you can see, this is an attractive looking P4 and it presents very well but close up there are various minor paint imperfections which clearly separate it from pristine examples. The interior is presentable but not perfect. There is some wear to the leather on the driver’s side of the front seat. Some of the chrome is dull/ pitted. The underside is in good solid order.
An sale invoice in the file details this car selling for £14, 750 in 2022, then advertised for sale in 2024 at £10, 500. Clearly it represents good value at our asking price.
