Mini Cooper S, 122000 miles with lots and lots of service history, spec includes, 6 speed gearbox, xenon headlights, leather interior, electric windows & mirrors, air con, remote central locking, cd player with usb input, factory spot lamps, OZ type alloys, MOT till May 2027.
I’ve owned this car for over 5 years now and due to an upcoming house move I’m reluctantly selling. Purchased in March 2021, the car was a standard unmodified car, with no accident damage, came with all the original book packs, 2 keys and almost full service history, but it was in need of some TLC.
As my Dad was a qualified mechanic, we removed the engine and ancillaries, completed necessary repairs and did lots of preventative maintenance work whilst the engine was out and parts were easily accessible, replaced all oil seals and fitted new parts including the waterpump, thermostat, LUK clutch kit, clutch master & slave cylinder, radiator with new silicon hoses, supercharger seals and oil, and auxiliary tensioner damper and idler pulley. The engine was fully serviced and coolant was flushed and changed, brake fluid changed, gearbox oil changed and some of the brake pipes were replaced. Whilst the engine was out, the front subframe was removed and the anti-roll bar bushes, anti roll bar links, track rods, track rod ends were all replaced, along with new front brake discs & pads, new front brake flexi hoses, new rear brake discs & pads, new handbrake cables, driveshaft gaiters, front shockers and strut top mountings. The boot lid was rusty and a very good 2nd hand one was sourced and re-sprayed and cavity wax sealed inside.
Once the car was all mechanically sorted and after some short use I decided to improve on the car and do some subtle modifications, the car had drilled & grooved front brake discs and Brembo pads fitted, modified bypass valve for supercharger, Kavs 20% supercharger pulley and gates belt fitted, colder running spark plugs, larger intercooler, JCW type injectors were fitted, performance cone air filter fitted, Gravity stainless steel exhaust manifold and full stainless steel exhaust system was fitted, alloy expansion tank fitted, led sidelight bulb upgrade, led number plate lights, the interior was changed from the standard 2 tone cloth / leather to full black leather from a facelift R53, the standard garish blue carpet was changed to a more subtle grey, the brushed steel dash sections were replaced with more modern look smart gloss black sections as well as the door cards, we fitted in an oil pressure gauge and supercharger boost gauge into the centre dash vent surrounds, a 3 spoke steering wheel was added to replace the tired looking 2 spoke wheel, a JCW aero bonnet grille and aero side skirts were fitted, a JCW Carbon Fibre Gear lever was also fitted, rear trailing arms were replaced with one’s from a Mini R56 as they are alloy and lighter, stainless steel petrol tank straps fitted, 4D number plates, the power steering pump has been refurbished and fluid changed, the standard tired looking alloys were replaced with OZ type mutli spoke wheels with Michelin PS5 tyres.
The car as you can imagine has had £100’s and £100’s of pounds spent on it and mechanically superb, the bodywork does not have any rust, there are a few supermarket dents and a few stonechips as you’d expect for a 23 year old car, it looks, drives and sounds superb on the road, this is surely only going to appreciate in value as time goes by.
