European-specification M Coupé powered by the motorsport-derived S50B32 3.2-litre inline-six
Finished in desirable Estoril Blue Metallic with Style 40 alloy wheels

Right-hand drive example originally registered new in Portugal in September 1999, later imported to the UK
To be serviced (Inspection II) in readiness for its next keeper
The Appeal
Powered by the S50/S52 straight-six from the E36 M3, and famously stiffer than the standard Z3 thanks to its shooting-brake roofline, the Z3 M Coupé became a favourite among BMW's own engineers, reportedly the fastest car around the Nürburgring in period testing, ahead of even the M3. Nicknamed the "clownshoe" for its singular looks, it's since become one of the most respected driver's cars BMW ever built, prized for its razor-sharp chassis and uncompromising, function-over-form ethos.
This example was originally registered new in Portugal in September 1999 before arriving in the UK, where it has remained since. It wears the highly regarded Estoril Blue Metallic finish and is accompanied by its V5C, book pack, stamped service book, various MOT certificates and invoices tracing its history from the pre-delivery inspection onwards. Service records show care from both BMW dealers and marque specialists over the years. In preparation for its next keeper, the car is to receive an Inspection II service.OUL_6894-2 Luke Papworth.jpg6.15 MB

✓ We also check whether vehicles are recorded as being written off as part of an insurance total loss claim at the time an advert is placed on Car & Classic and we helpfully provide write-off category labels (Cat C/D/S/N) for your assistance. However, the presence or absence of a label does not guarantee the vehicle’s status and it is always worthwhile carrying out your own full vehicle history check before making an offer on a vehicle.
