If you’re looking for a budget BMW “Airhead”, then this may just be the bike for you.
She’s just out of storage from long term ownership, and although initial impressions are of an untidy bike, looks deceive!
Being metalic red, the paintwork is rather faded, particularly on the fairing, but look closer, and you’ll see that the tank paintwork is not only very good, but is also original, and still carrying the factory helmet safety decal.
The bike is one of the later twin shocks, so also benefits from the handlebar mounted choke set up, and more importantly, those very effective twin Brembo’s brakes up front. The bike is also fitted with the rare and lovely Breakwell and Green full stainless exhaust system. It comes with the factory pannier set up, and crash bars.
We’ve yet to fully assess the bike, but after a light re commission, she’s running like a Swiss watch, and a visit to the local MOT station saw a new MOT issued.
