Beschreibung
The Rover 200 Coupé is a two-door coupé produced by Rover, based on the Rover 200 Mark II, with most body panels, bumpers and glass being unique to this model. It was presented on 6 October 1992 at the Paris Salon.
The project dubbed 'Tomcat' used a split glass roof system with a central 'T-Bar'. The double panels can be tilted or removed independently, and the T-Bar itself can also be removed. The glass was semi-reflective, titanium coated. Transmission of the solar heat was filtered, allowing only six percent to pass, eliminating the need for an interior curtain.
The interior is designed to accommodate four people, with individual rear seats. The quality of the interior materials was in keeping with the Rover traditions of elegance and refinement.
The 216 version, with a 1. 6-liter, 122-horsepower Honda engine, was designed for markets that penalized the higher cylinder capacity.
This unit had the only owner Rover - Adelino J Morais Neves & Filhos Lda - in Leiria, only 4928 kilometers. An authentic time capsule!
