1985 PORSCHE 944 2. 5
Registered on the 1st January 1985. This is a fantastic starter classic requiring very simple remedial works over the winter to make a fun summer car.
Showing 53000 miles from new although the service record and previous invoices/ MOT’s indicate this to be 153000 miles. The engine sounds absolutely fantastic and starts first time every time. Due to the age of the vehicle I would recommend a cam belt service for peace of mind. Recent works include a new rotor arm, distributor, spark plugs, fresh leads and a battery.
The bodywork is in good condition although repairs will be needed as there are numerous parking dents and a crease in the passenger front wing. The shell is very solid and unlike most 944’s the sills are very solid with no signs of previous bad repairs either. All four sills are solid with only 2 small minor pieces of rust (surface only not structural).
The 944 comes with a stamped service book with early history aswell as numerous mot’s and service invoices as well as a current v5c.
This is a very quick winter project for someone requiring a quick coat of paint to make a very nice car, mechanically also very good although the brakes are rather spongy.
