1954 MG TF Midget 1250. Almond Green Coachwork with Green Leather Interior, ORU 412. 53, 100 miles. 5 Former Keepers, the 2nd seems to have owned it for around 40 years. Very original patinated condition as it has been used sparingly and is ready to be driven anywhere or would be perfect for period television or film work.
Road Tax and M. O. T. Test Exempt, Last M. O. T tested in 2015 at 52, 370 miles, we have Tests going back to 1974 at 48, 520 miles and Tax Discs back to 1992.

It is rare to find a Midget that has never been fully restored, we have a file of receipts dating back to 1966 for servicing and parts e. t. c., the most recent for front wheel cylinders from 2018. We also have a green log book from 1968. This example has the rare detachable side screens which are handy for adverse weather conditions as well as wind buffeting and it also has the original rare 15 inch steel hubcapped road wheels. The very original usable patinated condition makes this rare as most have been restored by now, the paintwork shows minor marks, flaws and has touched in areas which all add character. The interior is in very smart useable condition, the leather is original but the carpets have been replaced. The 1, 250cc engine starts instantly and sounds lovely and quiet and performs superbly as do the brakes and the gearbox, no journey would worry the owner.
The TF Midget, the last of the MG T type series line was launched on 15th October 1953 and was a facelifted TD, fitted with the TD Mark II engine, headlights faired into the fenders, a sloping radiator grille concealing a separate radiator, and a new pressurised cooling system along with a simulated external radiator cap. The XPAG engine's compression ratio had been increased to 8. 1:1 and extra-large valves with stronger valve springs and larger carburettors increased output to 57. 5 bhp at 5, 500 rpm. These TF’s have always been much more rare than the TD with only 6, 200 being built compared to 29, 664 TD’s.
This Motor Car can be viewed by prior appointment at the owners house near Lincoln, with good access from the A1 Road and the London to Edinburgh Mainline Railway. It has been enthusiast owned and is kept alongside his other motor cars and aeroplanes.
