1961 TRIUMPH TR3A O/ D
This stunning UK RHD TR3A was first registered in 1961 and still carries its original Chester issued registration number of 6 VFM. Rallied extensively within the mid to late 1990's by the previous owner, having been driven on some twenty regularity road rallies and three Monte Carlo Challenges, achieving class awards. Major works and improvements have been carried out over the years. Engine rebuild with a flowed cylinder head, engine lightening and balanced by Moss. Racing Oil pump and uprated pistons and camshaft. The engine is fitted with an alloy sump and rocker cover, sports distributor and a stainless free flow manifold and exhaust. The gearbox is fitted with a rebuilt overdrive unit and the axle has been rebuilt. The original Worm and Peg steering has been replaced with a Rack and Pinion set up. The suspension system has been rebuilt with nylon bushes, SPAX adjustable shock and road race springs fitted.
