BMW 635csi automatic. 1986.
111, 500 miles, with history to verify. I have covered nearly 30, 000 of those in the last 6 years of its 33 year life.
4 former owners.
It’s a genuine, solid machine, it has never let me down and it’s a pleasure to drive.
Extensive service history.
Service and MOT- the car is booked in for a service and MOT 28th May. It will therefore be sold with the benefit of these.
Spec from new- Arctic Blue, Pearl Beige Leather, Sports seats, M-tech steering wheel, electric sunroof, Rear seat headrests, electric wing mirrors.
15 inch cross-spoke alloys in superb condition.
Air-con- doesn’t work, although I’ve never tried re-gassing it, preferring the window down option.
March 2016- Stainless-steel exhaust system by Life Long.
May 2018- New distributor cap, rotar arm and leads and also a brake overhaul.
July 2018- Gearbox service.
October 2018- Two new front tyres fitted.
The bodywork on the whole is very good, but it is not concourse. 1 front wing has some bubbling. There are some rust spots on the chrome bumpers.
The drivers seat is worn on the door side bolster but it doesn’t effect comfort. The other seats are in very good condition.
I fitted a replacement aerial, it works but doesn’t go the whole way down any more! Alpine radio cassette and speakers all in good working order.
Post 1983 the 635csi was remodelled, barely noticeable externally, but based on a revised platform, with huge improvements to its drive and performance. The 3430cc variant of the M30 engine that was used from 1982-87 is commonly thought of as the best of the best. Further info on fritzbitz, along with other websites- - details above
This is why I waited for a 635csi produced between 1983 and 1987 to come available, and it has lived up to its expectations.
