1958 MG A MGA FHC Fixed Head Coupe Road Rally Special 1798cc 5 Speed Manual. 7, 150 miles since the conversion to Road Rally Specification which includes the MGB LANDAR Twin Carb Engine, High Ratio Rear Axle and Differential as well as Front Disc Brakes. The long term owner who made all the upgrades purchased this in 2002, returning it to the road in 2009 and then using it sparingly. This A would be perfect for classic road rallies or tours or for taking to period events such as Goodwood Revival.

This MGA is in superb condition and needs no immediate expenditure, it is just waiting to be driven. The paintwork shows very few marks due to covering little mileage since the respray, the interior is in very smart useable condition, the leather is original but everything else has been replaced or refurbished. The uprated engine starts instantly, sounds lovely and performs superbly as do the brakes and the gearbox, it has a surprising turn of speed and cruises effortlessly.
As well as the mentioned main components changed during the conversion the owner has also added the knock off wire spoked wheels including externally mounting the spare to free up boot space, quad front spot lamps with wire mesh stone guards, a Jaeger matching external clock, a compass and a moveable map light so it is ready to be rallied, the lovely wooden rim steering wheel is a delight to use. A number of spares, tools and original parts are included.
This Motor Car can be viewed by prior appointment at the owners house near Lincoln, with good access from the A1 Road and the London to Edinburgh Mainline Railway. It has been enthusiast owned and is kept alongside his other motor cars and aeroplanes.
