The Porsche 944 was produced from 1982 until 1991. In 1989 the S2 versions arrived with styling influences from the 944 turbo and a new 3. 0 version of the four cylinder engine producing 211bhp and allowing a top speed of 150mph.
This car is a 199 944 S2 convertible in Zermatt Silver with “Linen” coloured leather interior. It has covered a correct 89, 000 miles from new and this is backed up by a comprehensive service history. The body is in superb condition with no rust or damage and unmarked alloys and the convertible roof was replaced 18 months ago at great expense and the electric folding function works as it should.. The interior is also in outstanding order with little wear showing to the leather and a recent new carpet set. This 944 has benefitted from substantial expenditure – the service book has 13 stamps from Porsche agents and specialists and there is also a very detailed history file which includes an invoice for a substantial engine and gearbox out overhaul plus cam belt and tensioner change, just 1500 miles ago at a cost of £6k.
We are offering this car on behalf of a customer with a small collection of cars – he has used this car sparingly and selling it to fund the restoration of another, older classic. It can be viewed at our premises near Woburn, Beds and is ready to use.
