Description
HERE is my delightfully luxurious Humber Super Snipe - a 1966 model and a real throwback to the days of opulent motoring at its best. The Rootes Group always knew how to create luxury on wheels and very few makes and models could compete with the Super Snipe back in the mid-sixties!
This super, sleek and sliver Snipe has covered just 75, 000 miles and came to me from her third owner. The V5 sttes just two previous numbers and also gives no reason why the number plate should not be transferable if the next owner so wishes.
She also has an MoT until March 2020 and that comes with no advisories. So, even though she no longer requires testing by law, you are getting total peace of mind here when it comes to any would-be worries about vehicle structure etc!
Body-wise, she is a real picture and carries only some minor paint defects. None of these really detract from the overall beauty of the vehicle. Her interior is simply stunning and there is no damage - indeed barely any cracking - to the red leather both front and rear. Her wooden dashboard is delectable and un-damaged also.
She drives magnificently and does everything she ought to through the auto box. The first time I tested the kick-down mechanism, I frightened myself half to death such was the dramatic "take-off" speed!
Rarely seen now, these 3-litre straight-six mean machines are a delight to sit in, let alone master from behind the wheel.
She is not a new car, nor is she a three-year-old used car. She is a piece of antique motoring history and, as such will have quirks and maybe even the odd fault. Anyway, she is what she is. These old gems - in this case 53-years-old are sold as seen. Should you buy without viewing, then she is sold on the basis of the advertisement you have read the photos, or extra photos, you have seen as well with the assistance of any answers to questions you have received from me. Treat these classics with the respect they deserve and make sure they have love, time and effort lavished on them. Even the very best need permanent on going care. Practically all will have undergone a degree of restoration work or improvement at some stage. If it's a three-year-old car dating from the 1960s that you are after, then you are out of luck. Short of acquiring a Tardis that is.
Anyway, thanks for reading. I am here to answer any questions you may have and, remember, that I also provide a delivery service. Martin the details below)
