Description
As the original purchase invoice and service book confirm, this beautifully preserved Rolls Shadow 11 was bought new from Heron Groups HR Owens Old Brompton Rd showroom in July 1978, finished in the perfect combination of Cardinal Red Metallic over Magnolia Hide. To have had an eye for style this discerning, the first owner was as debonair as you'd expect. Mr Edward Sahakian was an Iranian brewing magnate, who'd escaped his troubled homeland and became resident of the UK, was in the early stages of setting up London's premier cigar lounge. As the founder of what would become Davidoff of London, Mr Sahakian couldn't be seen driving around in anything less than the best. With a commute of just over a mile from his residence in Belgravia, by 1987 his car had covered just 11532 miles, confirmed by a well stamped service book with invoicing. Around that time it is believed Mr Sahakian placed the car into storage, where it remained in hibernation until 2003, before passing to its second owner. In 2015 the third owner collector took possession and sent the car to well respected marque specialists Frank Dale & Stepsons spending in the region of £15000 carrying out a thorough mechanical and brake recommissioning. An in depth service and check over has just been carried out, finding the vehicle in beautiful order. A new set of factory spec Avon Turbosteel tyres have just been fitted. The car comes with its factory supplied small and large tools, original book pack containing all factory pull outs, original warranty card, showroom order and purchase invoice. The fitted cigar humidor remains in place, and appears to have seen no use at all. With a total of just 18k miles, and a proper recommissioning carried out recently, the drive of this car simply excels anything else similar offered. As close an experience to buying a new Shadow 11 as you are likely to encounter. May P/ X (Registration excluded) Please see my main website for over 50 images.
