1989 BMW 635 CSi Motorsport Edition
This is not to be mistaken with other 635s out there – this is a very special car indeed. Pictures do not do this car justice, and we encourage anyone looking for an exceptional 635 to come and see this car in the metal.
One of only 161 Motorsport Editions produced, the car is absolutely immaculate, with gleaming unmarked Macao Blue metallic paintwork. These cars were equipped with most of the visual performance features of the M635 Highline model and additionally Shadowline exterior trim, electric sunroof, Highline equipment, rear-seat head restraints, tri-colour M-sport labels, graduated tinted screen, electric memory seats, air conditioning, electric mirrors, headlight wipers, rear spoiler, leather trimmed steering wheel and rear window blind. The interior boasted hand-stitched Nappa leather on the seats, door panels, centre console, glove box, roof lining, sun visors, door pillars, upper door trim and dashboard.
For a car of this age to possess an almost new car smell inside, an incredible aroma of thick leather, is quite something. The interior is exceptional, the light hue contrasting perfectly with the deep paintwork and inside everything is as it should be.
The car has covered 98, 863 miles from new, not that its condition would ever have you think that. The wheels are stunning Hartge items with perfect OEM style fitment which set the car off perfectly (please note the car does come with its TRX original wheels which require refurbishment to match the quality of the car). This 635 has a large history file, with numerous receipts from main dealers and specialists dating as far back as 1989.
In August of this year the car was subject to a full machine polish paint correction, the interior was entirely removed to clean and refit the carpets and the entire interior was restored at a combined cost of £2, 030. The previous owner even went as far as to ceramic coat the wheels to ensure they remain in superb condition.
An incredible example in exceptional condition, this is undoubtedly one of the finest available.
