Description
1973 Austin Mini 1275 GT in factory Harvest Gold. This is a time warp unrestored and very rare car. It was bought new and enjoyed by its first owner for 43 years. During this time is was kept waxoiled and greased underneath and as a result the body and subframes are in their original condition. It has always been on the road and I have 39 past MOT certificates to support the mileage of 76500 miles from new. The interior is all original including the carpets making it feel very special inside. It was sold to its new owner in 2016 and was then repainted and mechanically refurbished. It has been fully checked over by Downton Engineering in Reading who replaced the clutch, brakes, fuel pipes / fuel pump, radiator and fully serviced the car costing £2200. I have just fitted 4 new Yokohama A008 tyres. I have taken pictures of the floors which have their factory paint. There are also pictures of the sill / door step edge which is factory original and looks immaculate. This is such a rare find as most have been heavily restored inside and out and have had numerous owners. I have a complete history file from new including the original service book, 1275 GT manual and hand book as well as both sets of keys. It drives very well and is smooth and refined. You do feel privileged to be driving a car which is original and remarkably well cared for by its first owner for 43 years. I have never seen one in this original condition.
