971 911 ST
Please see for sale my nut and bolt magazine featured 1971 911 ST.
This car has been subject to a 150k nut and bolt restoration and has completed 300 miles and just been subject to a fully professional detail @ £1000
The car started life as a period correct 1971 911T, it has then undergone a full nut and bolt restoration to the ST car that you see! The level of detail is superb both in the metal and paint work to the race prepared 2. 8 Twin Spark Race engine.
There was only 25 genuine ST cars made and they are all £700k to over a million pounds now if you ever see one for sale, everyone knows about the 2. 7rs (7 figure car now) but not a people know about the ST’s as they are so rare! They were built on early 1971 - 1972 911T base cars and then the dealer would have a ST kit to covert it, the FIA had stated they larger rear wheel archs were allowed and Porsche didnt have a Fuch large engine so fitted the 8” Fuch on the front and then sold them with the 9” rear Minilight wheels, these is why the wheels never matched on ST cars! The engine were larger also , often 2. 5 with a Twin Spark set up producing 250bhp, this one is 2. 8 Twin Spark producing 265bhp, the engine is good for 300bhp but would make it underivable on road, this car is set up for fast road and track.
With a curb weight of 960kg as per the originals and power at 265bhp this really does make for a fast road / race car! with lightweight carpets, panels, glass etc..!
I have a full picture folder with all the restoration images including the body, engine and gearbox that can be whats app or emailed.
The full spec of the car is found here:
