1974 MGB Roadster in Aconite Purple, a rare 1 year only colour, discontinued in February 1975 making this car extremely rare and highly desirable.
Massive documentation folder supporting both the cars mileage of 49, 861 and showing how well it's been cared for all of its life.
The previous owner had the car professionally re-sprayed and he added a gorgeous new interior in a soft red leather with matching carpets throughout, walnut look dash and trim, wooden steering wheel, new inertia reel belts with head rest retention units and a brand new hood. He also had the car rust proofed with Dinitrol.
I saw it advertised in April 2018 in Kinross, Scotland and after a lengthy chat with the owner, a classic car collector, decided to take a chance, buy it and have it shipped to me, sight unseen. I was very pleasantly surprised to find it was exactly as described and it drives superbly, starting every time on the button, the overdrive working as it should. Joined the local MG Owners club and have been on a few local runs and classic car shows over the last 2 years with no issues whatsoever.
I added 5 brand new tyres to the perfect Rostyle wheels, with new chrome wheel nuts all round, a wind deflector (to keep wifey comfortable but it can easily be lowered to preserve the look), cockpit cover with a stowaway bag (to save fastening the hood every time we parked up on trips) breathable indoor car cover, extendable bonnet prop (only one factory fitted, can cause flexing) long handled chrome wheel brace & socket.
The car will come with all of the above including the original jack and tool roll, original tonneau cover, spare exterior chrome trim, heritage certificate, spare key, Corgi 1/ 43rd model of car and Ctek trickle charger (car fitted with trickle charge connection for winter months) Also has fitted a hidden immobiliser for extra security.
I have maintained and serviced the car meticulously (fitted correct oil filter and improved red rotor arm) and even got it professionally washed and polished a short while ago. Always garaged and although no trailer queen, I try not to drive it in the wet. Not currently with MOT (does not legally need one) due to the present crisis but will happily have this done before being sold for peace of mind. Also qualifies for road tax exemption.
I am only regretfully selling as I need the money for another car purchase and will be sad to see it go.
Please note the price is fixed and non-negotiable as I believe it is worth every penny and can only increase in value due to its rarity, superb condition and low miles. If it does not sell I will happily keep it and change my plans.

UPDATE(21/ 08/ 20)-Just had an MOT-sills needed work, so they have been replaced and re-sprayed. No known rust issues whatsoever. New MOT issued.
