1969 JAGUAR E-TYPE FOR SALE
The Jaguar E-Type, or the Jaguar XKE for the North American market, is a British sports car that was manufactured by Jaguar in 1961 to 1975. It's combination of beauty, high performance, and competitive pricing established the model as an icon of the motoring world. The E-Type's claimed 150 mph top speed, sub-7-second 0 to 60 mph acceleration, unitary construction, disc brakes, rack and pinion steering, and independent front and rear suspension distinguished the car and spurred industry wide changes. The E-Type was based on Jaguar's D-Type racing car. On its release in March 1961 Enzo Ferrari called it "the most beautiful car ever made". The Series 2 introduced a number of design changes, hallmarks of Series 2 cars are a wrap around rear bumper, larger front indicators and tail lights repositioned below the bumpers, and an enlarged grille with twin electric fans to aid cooling. Air conditioning and power steering were available as factory options.
1969 Jaguar E-Type 2+2. This E-Type has just come out of long term ownership. This E-Type has the original 4. 2 liter engine with an automatic transmission. The engine is matching numbers. Currently the engine is seized. Last time this vehicle has been on the road was back in 1985. Has four wheel disc brakes and independent suspension front and rear. It does have the option of factory Air Conditioning. As far as we know the original color is blue with a blue/ black interior. Has all four original wire wheels. Does come with the original jack, bag for the jack, spare tire and knock off tool. The car does have some rust. The floors on the car are in great shape.
The interior of the car is there with the exception of the radio console. Interior will have to be restored. Has a heated rear window. Has the original dash with all the correct gauges. Dash top isn't cracked and is in good shape. Has the original bucket seats with the factory rear seat. All the original seat belts are there as well. Manual wind up windows. All the glass to the car is there. Windshield does have a chip. Only missing one piece of chrome trim around the headlight. All other chrome is there. Clean title. These cars are getting harder to find.
