1965 Mini For Sale
The Mini is a small economy car that was produced by BMC and its successors from 1959 to 2000. These vehicles were designed by Sir Alec Issigonis. They were officially announced to the public on August 26, 1959. Mini was marketed under Morris and Austin until 1969. Engines on these vehicles were transverse and they had front wheel drive, by doing that they saved space inside for passengers and luggage. In 1964 the suspension on these vehicles were changed to the hydrolastic system. From October 1965, the option of an automatic four speed transmission became available. In 1999 the Mini was voted the second most influential car of the 20th century. They were manufactured at multiple locations around the world. The Mini Cooper and the Mini Cooper S were the sporty versions of these cars. Mini won the Monte Carlo Rally in 1964, 1965 and 1967.
1965 Mini. As far as we know this vehicle has the original 850cc engine with its original four speed manual gearbox. The engine in the vehicle turns freely by hand but will require work to get it running. Comes with factory four wheel drum brakes. Has all four factory wheels with hubcaps. Comes with the factory spare tire. Has an aftermarket steering wheel. Looks like the original color of the vehicle was red or light blue. Electrical wise the car is very good. The lights work, indicators, etc. The car is complete.
The interior of the vehicle is all there but will require restoring. Has the original tilt forward front bucket seats and the original rear seat. Has the original gauge in the center of the dash. The door glass has the factory sliding windows. All of the glass is there and has no cracks or chips. This vehicle does have the common Mini rust at the bottom in front of lower part of the doors and some in the drivers side of the floor. The rest of the car is solid. The chrome on the car is all there. Comes with a clean title.
