HERE is my absolutely gorgeous Triumph Spitfire Mark 3. In my opinion, and I have said this for a few decades now, the prettiest and most enjoyable of the Spitfire range. That high revving 1300cc engine coupled with the original Spitfire looks with those "teddy bear ears" rear lights. So OK, they had to raise the front bumper to suit USA regulations, but still the best looking Spit and the most fun to drive!
This 1970 example is in superb condition with a great chassis, super floors and sills and great engine bay. She comes with a large history file and so what is not to like? New hood too. She drives exactly as she was meant to and is just oddles of fun. Her bodywork and panel gaps are a good way ahead of those you normally find on Spitfires and her paint work is such that you would not dream of touching it. Go and find a better (and highly sought after) Mark 3 at this kind of money.
By the way, her current mileage reads 30, 000 and it can be traced via the history to being 26, 000 36 years ago. So, thinking about it, it could very well be correct.
