Hexagon Classics are delighted to offer what must be one of the finest examples of a Triumph TR3A Roadster. An original UK-supplied RHD car, with a superb specification, and outstanding presentation, this really is a wonderful roadster. A bare metal professional restoration was commissioned by a previous owner in 2010.
Highlights of its options include:-
Overdrive, new hood, side screens and tonneau cover, head converted for use with unleaded petrol, rack and pinion steering, compression chamber relief to Triumph TR4A spec, disc brakes, alternator, electronic ignition, Kenlowe fan, and radio with Bluetooth function. This TR3A represents the very best in quality.
A great sales success on both sides of the Atlantic, the TR3 provided a rather more visceral alternative to its MG and Jaguar competition. In 1957 the TR3 was updated with various changes including a full width radiator grille, and this facelifted model was commonly referred to as the Triumph ‘TR3A’.
TR3s were campaigned in the RAC, Monte Carlo, Circuit of Ireland, Alpine, Liege-Rome-Liege, International Tulip, Scheveningen-Luxembourg, Tour de France, Douze Heures de Huy, Lyon-Charbonnieres, Acropolis, Chimay National, and Corsica rallies, among others, achieving numerous outright, team, and class victories including six "Coupes des Alpes" awards. The TR3 is a true roadster, designed for sunny weather but with removable rain protection.
Originally registered on the 4th April 1962, this UK-supplied RHD example has been not only been restored to as-new condition, but its specification surpasses the original. Just four owners from new, and comes complete with an impressive history file, BMIHT certificate and maintenance handbook. This TR3A is all ready to be enjoyed. The car is complete with its valuable historic cherished number plate.
