Introduction
Here at Old Colonel Cars we have a stunning example of the Porsche 996 Turbo Tiptronic S. The 996 911 Turbo featured 4 Wheel drive and an 420 BHP twin turbo, 3. 6 flat six engine, offering staggering, sure footed performance. The ‘normal’ 996 engines can suffer from a few well documented issues, but the 996 turbo engine is a separate design, it does not share these issues, its derived from the 1998 Le Mans winning 911 GT1 race car and the 993 Turbo. This March 2001 example has covered 110, 000 miles and benefits from an excellent Porsche / Porsche specialist history with a staggering 28 service stamps. Finished in Seal Grey Metallic with a Black extended leather interior, this example is in immaculate condition throughout. This car drives and performs every bit as good as it looks, it feels very tight and responsive, all the performance is certainly there, whenever you ask for it. This really is a car that can be driven every day, such a brilliant driving experience, much better to enjoy day to day than any other car with this performance. But when you want to press on, the way this car delivers its power and just keeps on going is amazing, totally addictive, just as it should be.

This car comes with a excellent specification. Notable options include Electric seats, Cruise control, Porsche PCM system with Sat Nav / Telephone etc, Factory upgraded sounds, Air con etc.
Bodywork / Interior / Wheels etc
Finished in Seal Grey Metallic, the paintwork and bodywork on this 996 are excellent. Look all over this perfectly presented example, there are no dings or dents, just a deep all over shine. Clearly this car has been perfectly cared for, its looks amazing.
Inside we have full Black extended leather. As you can hopefully see from all the pictures and video, the interior is also in excellent condition throughout. Door cards / deep pile carpets etc are all just as nice. Everything is original, all just as it should be.
The Alloys are all unmarked, no curbing or corrosion, all fitted with an excellent, matching set of Mitchellin Sport tyres.
Engine / Gearbox
The 3. 6 Twin turbo runs and performs perfectly. All the boost and performance is there when pushed.
The 5 Speed Tiptronic gearbox work and performs as it should. This gearbox really suits the 996 Turbo engine, gear changes are plenty quick enough and allows you to keep you hands planted on the steering wheel. Obviously you can switch gear manually using the steering wheel buttons etc.
History
This car benefits from an excellent, documented service history. We have all the original manuals, a fully stamped original service book, a thick folder of service invoices / old Mot’s, full VOSA Mot history, a full HPI clear report including mileage verification.
The car last went into Autofarm Porsche specialist, any items on the checkover list were addressed, this was at 105, 866 Miles.
It comes with no less than 28 service stamps and they way this example drives so well is a testament to how well this car has been maintained. Mot’d until 22nd December 2021.
Summary
The Porsche 996 Turbo is an amazing performance car, which seems very good value at this price point. They have ben steadily rising over the last year and well maintained examples like this should hold their value going forward.
You really cant beat a 911 Turbo for the combination of outstanding performance with every day usability.
