Here is one of the most popular Triumphs of all time, very much beloved today as it was back in the 1970s, when they were an upmarket family man's car. Under the bonnet is Triumph's much-celebrated 2. 5-litre straight six engine, and this one has an absolutely magical purr to it. It really does have that wonderful straight six sound.
The bodywork is excellent, very straight panels, and the wheel arches are all sharp and solid. The chrome bumpers and trim are in the same fine order. The car has been subject to a bare metal respray during its restoration, which helps explain its first-rate paintowrk. The body work being in such fine order helps show off just what good-looking and stylish cars these were - the alloy wheels, the understated flaring, these cars had an incredibly well-proportioned and though-out design - it has all the legendary styling of beautiful Triumph cars - the TR4s, the TR6s, Vitesses, Stags, Spitfires...
The straight six engine, as mentioned above, runs perfectly, plenty of grunt when needed, and paired with the manual 4-speed gearbox gives a real classic driving experience. The engine bay is immaculate. The interior adds to the appeal, good solid traditional British engineering at its best. The seats, although soft and accommodating, still provide plenty of support and comfort. Everything has a reassuringly solid and functional look and feel to it.
The car comes with a massive history file and we were only able to lay out a small part to show in the images. This car will particularly appeal to Triumph fans. There are very few of these left in such robust condition, and anyone who loves these as much as we do will be very happy with it!
