A superbly presented example of the remarkably rare Porsche Super 308 tractor, produced in Germany by the Allgaier company and supplied as a Porsche-Diesel.
Considered a sports car of the tractor world and a real rarity, even by collectors’ standards, the three-cylinder Porsche Super is the predecessor to the illusive Porsche Master (four-cylinder equivalent). This Porsche Super offers a true investment opportunity and a chance to own a piece of tractor history linking both European agricultural development and Porsche sports car pedigree. The 308 was launched in 1957 as a sophisticated option for medium-sized to large farms. It is a good-sized tractor which was remarkably advanced and well-engineered for the time.
The example available for here epitomises the Porsche tractor. It bears that sleek, inclined design with the stunning red paint and cream wheels. It is powered by a 2466cc three-cylinder, air-cooled diesel engine to the Porsche design. Everything does exactly what it should, and it is in superb condition throughout having been restored to a high standard since being in preservation. It was built originally in 1960.
