Here at RFH Classics we have a recently taken this time warp example of a 1988 Ford Fiesta 1. 4 L 3 Dr in part exchange. Finished in Diamond White with the 5 Speed gearbox and Ford P21 Radio the car was first registered in September 1988 by the Weymouth Ford Main Agent Bougard (Dorset) Ltd to Mr & Mrs Oswell. The car was for for Mrs Oswell who kept the car for over 20 years. During their ownership the car was maintained by Ford up until 2004 when it had done 17, 990 miles. From this point the servicing of the car was then done by Motorpoint in Poole, Dorset up to 46, 230 miles in October 2018.
In August 2019 the car was sold through North Yorkshire Classics to the Reverend McRoberts in Inverness, who part exchanged the car to us. For the 1st year of Doug's ownership his daughter used the car where she only added a low 3, 000 miles to the car. After this and during his ownership Doug has done sympathetic refurbishment to the car whilst maintaining its originality. Period Fog Lights were fitted complete with the relevant and correct switches as well as the electronic boot release switch that was standard to the Ghia model. According to the DVLA records and those of Project Bobcat, the MK2 register it confirms there are just 6 of these 1. 4 L Fiesta's now on the road in the UK so certainly a rare little car now.
