Just arrived with us here at RFH Classics we have this stunning 1975 (N) MGB Roadster 1. 8 finished in Damask Red with Burgundy Red Leather. We had the pleasure of selling this car just over 18 months ago but following loss of storage the car is now available again. I have to say this is a beautiful colour combination and although the Heritage Certificate says it was originally supplied with Black trim, had this been a factory option from new I am sure it would have been very popular. When you get in the car you are greeted with a very nice Walnut effect dash and a couple of chrome accessories that really help off set the whole cabin of the car. The stalk to the left of the steering column operates the Overdrive unit that we can confirm is working perfectly as are the switches and dials. The car has an upgraded Mohair roof which again is in perfect condition and weathertight.
Under the bonnet is the 1796cc standard engine that is being run on super plus unleaded and has exceptionally good oil pressure both hot & cold. The previous owner has done some work under here with the addition of a new alternator and the refurbishment of the twin carburettors so she runs very well. The car is fitted with a complete stainless exhaust that has seen very little use and gives the car a lovely tone when running. Externally the car has a lovely finish to the paint and chrome which is enhanced by the upgraded Minilite Style Alloy wheels and Firestone fitted tyres all round. The history file that accompanies the car is very comprehensive and contains a substantial amount of old MOT test and invoice for parts and work undertaken to the car as well as Heritage Certificate confirming the car was originally a UK RHD market car built between the 2nd and 4th of December 1974 and dispatched to the dealer, John C Beadle Ltd of Dartford on the 12th December 74.
