Description
Here at QuickandBig. com we are privileged to be able to offer to the market this Z Cars factory built and Z Cars Evolution factory rebuilt Busa powered restomod.
We have been lucky enough to sell a number of Z Cars Mini’s on behalf of the factory, the most recent is this Mid Hayabusa engined, Quaife gearbox, rear wheel drive, high performance example.
It has recently been rebuilt and reengineered at the Z Cars Evolution factory and is presented in factory fresh condition, our adrenalin fuelled restomod is ready to be enjoyed by their lucky new owners.
Z Cars was originally founded by Chris Allanson in 1999, harnessing the engineering creativity that had helped bring Chris considerable success grass track racing in the 90s.
The company quickly established a following and began to build a brand predominantly around the Classic Mini, offering a range of alternative engine kits or turn-key solutions in a mid-engined layout most notably around the Yamaha R1, Suzuki Hayabusa and Honda K20 engines.
Z Cars developed a reputation for one-off creations, be it a restomod Classic with modern underpinnings or something bordering on the extreme, such as the twin Hayabusa Turbo engine Ultima.
With another business opportunity presenting itself during 2012, Chris Allanson stepped away from Z Cars in 2012 retaining the rights to the kits and Z Cars Performance Engineering (ZCPE) was formed to assume the mantle acting as custodian for the Z Cars portfolio.
Regrettably late in 2015, the company ceased trading leaving a void for the existing owners, customers and fans of the brand.
The rights to the kits were then sold to David Rose, a long standing customer of Z Cars and a new company has been formed based in Ashford, Kent.
David’s new company (Z Cars Evolution) is supporting existing Z Cars customers/ owners, whilst re engineering and adding to their range. Z Cars Evolution is staying true to the high octane extreme Z Cars heritage, whilst offering resto mods with new levels of refinement, safety, technology, additional engine options and potential everyday usability.
The Busa powered example we have for sale is a products of this new Z Cars Evolution ethos.
The high octane example listed here, takes one of the classic Z Cars formula’s, the full fat, Suzuki Hayabusa engine mid mounted driving the rear wheels.
Our Busa engined Classic Mini (RVD703G) was first registered in 1969, and as such is road tax except. It was originally Z Cars factory built, and has just completed a comprehensive overhaul at the Z Cars Evolution factory at significant cost.

Many thanks for wading through our lengthy description, we believe it’s better to describe our cars fully. It is not in our interest to waste your time or ours, with inaccurate or incomplete descriptions.
Our Z Cars built, Busa / Quaife powered classic Mini, really does tick all the QuickandBig. com boxes, it is factory built, very quick, beautifully presented, and unique. Importantly it doesn’t come with some of the compromises associated with extreme track focused “weekend“ cars, it is potentially usable as a extreme daily driver or Friday car, rather than being left to languish in the garage from one summer to the next!
Please visit the photographs again as they form part of the description (there at many more online at Quick and Big) also familiarise yourselves with our terms and conditions (also online at Quick and Big) and contact us, to arrange a viewing / test drive by appointment. Any inspection is welcome. Part exchange particularly if it’s quick, big or unusual a pleasure.
