1992 JAGUAR XJ40 3. 2 SOVEREIGN
I am confident that this xj40 is one of the finest if not THE finest example currently available for sale anywhere. It has covered a mere 61000 miles and has a lovely mot history displaying what a well maintained vehicle it has been.
There are 2 original Jaguar leather wallets containing all the books and manuals including a stamped up service book with fifteen stamps in total, the service book also confirming that this was a Jaguar factory vehicle from new. In addition to this there is a large lever arch file containing lots of paperwork including copies go old v5’s and tax discs, old mot’s and further work that has completed including a replacement steering rack. It comes with three keys also including the original green valet key and the audio cassette instruction manual an a full complete tool kit it the boot.
It shows 4 previous keepers, the original owner being Jaguar and owners 2 and 3 being father and son. There is also a bill of sale from when the 2nd owner bought from Jaguar at 6 months old.
In 2018 the vehicle received significant expenditure and had the following works carried out:
both front brake calipers replaced
new front brake discs and pads
front wheel bearings removed and re greased
new rear brake discs and pads and handbrake adjusted
rear brake pad carriers removed and shot blasted
braking sytem flushed and all fluid replaced
new flexi brake hoses front and rear
new spark plugs
replace air filter
new fuel filter
fresh engine oil and filter
coolant system flushed and replaced
throttle body removed, thoroughly cleaned and re fitted
new automatic transmission fluid
4 wheel laser alignment
all wheel arch liners removed, underside fully cleaned and treated with dinitrol waxoyl protection, wheel arch liners refitted
external paintwork fully protected with GUARD X coating
12 months mot
The body colour is a beautiful Rose Quartz metallic with a contrasting cream leather interior . Inside and out it is in the most wonderful condition of any of these cars you will find. There is absolutely zero dents, chips scratches or rust to be found anywhere, when you open the doors and check the insides all the correct factory sealer is still present, this really is a car that has been lovingly cherished from new and not succumbed to the usual corrosion issues that these cars have. Inside its the same story ! I simply cannot fault it, everywhere you look the leather, headlining, wood veneers and all tactile surfaces are simply like new!
