This is the second ‘Nine’ on offer in our sale, this one is clothed with the popular Monaco saloon body. With its semi-fabric construction this was a lightweight, stylish body that provided comfortable family motoring. A four-speed manual gearbox was the standard fitment in the vintage era.
This Monaco was sold new in Leeds on 5th of July 1930, by Pontins Garage. It then passed to a new custodian in Canvey Island in Essex in 1950, it is last known to have been on the road in 1953, documented by a tax disc. It was then stored in a barn for many decades until it was bought by the vendor in January last year, with restoration planned, but a new project has meant this potentially rewarding vehicle is now offered for sale. It comes without a V5C, but it does have the aforementioned tax disc.
