Rover SD1 Vitesse racecar. Single plenum John Eales engine with original dyno print out showing 311bhp. Extensive Rollcentre welded in cage. Built for a gentleman racer, assembled with the last bare shell sold by the factory (this is not a converted road car) – with power assisted steering and electric glass windows! During 2021 the following work has been carried out – Engine top end refresh, new hoses, ht leads, plugs, rotor arm, distributor cap, sensors, exhaust partially renewed, new PAS rack, discs skimmed and new race pads, new wheel bearings. Gearbox rebuilt. Crown wheel & pinion replaced and diff rebuilt with all new bearings etc. Car is white but professionally wrapped as an identical copy of German Group A ‘Toshiba’ car (driven by Kurt Thiim.) Built to CTCRC pre 83 Class B regs, (similar to Group 1) approx. 90kgs over the minimum weight & could easily be lightened by losing the glass, window motors and PAS. Price of £37, 500 includes spare rebuilt gearbox, an additional 6 brand new Revolution Motorsport wheels still in boxes, new prop shaft, driveshafts and assorted bits & pieces.
