Lovely and correct BMW R60/ 2 with "triple" matching numbers. The owner for the last 32 years was a mechanic and this BMW was his only classic motorcycle. The R60/ 2 was first registered on the 19th of July 1966.
The BMW is an older quality restoration that has been used sparingly. The speedo says 3646kms and judging from the mechanical and cosmetical condition, this could well be the mileage since restoration.
The engine is easy to start and is very smooth. The gearbox selects precisely and smoothly. The Bing carburettors are correct and numbered in sequence as they should be.
The bright work is very good. There is one spot of pitting to the crome on the front rim but that is it, otherwise all chrome in very good condition. The paint is very good and presents lovely with a deep gloss to it. The pinstripes are spot on.
The only fault on the paint is on the right hand side luggage pannier, which has some cracks in the paint towards the front corner. It is only the paint that has cracked and the panniers are otherwise in very good condition.
A chrome pannier rack with glass fibre pannier tanks are included. I am not sure of the make but they are good quality and have indicators build into them. They can be quickly unmounted. The original tyre inflator is present. Hella handlebar indicators fitted.
This BMW R60/ 2 is a quality restoration both mechanically and cosmetically, has been well kept over the years and is ready to use on the road.
The BMW is registered with EU registration documents.
