1953 MG TD Midget Open Sports. Original Black Coachwork with Red Leather Interior, HVD 370. 78, 184 miles. Lady owned since 1990. Very original patinated condition as it has been used sparingly and is ready to be driven anywhere or would be perfect for period television or film work. Complete with Black tonneau, side screens and soft top roof, it even has a period luggage rack. A lovely original, easy to drive and maintain timeless classic.
Road Tax and M. O. T. Test Exempt, Last M. O. T tested in 2013 at 77, 975 miles, we have old Tests and Tax Discs and Invoices.

It is rare to find a Right Hand Drive Midget that has never been fully restored. This example has the rare detachable side screens which are handy for adverse weather conditions as well as wind buffeting and it also has the original rare steel hubcapped road wheels. The very original usable patinated condition makes this rare, the paintwork shows minor marks and flaws which all add character. The interior is in smart useable condition, the leather is original and the lovely Jaeger instruments are clear . The four cylinder engine starts instantly and sounds lovely and quiet and performs superbly as do the brakes and the gearbox. A service manual is included. This TD is from the final year of production and is much more Vintage styled than the later TF. The Green Log Book from 1962 is present and shows the previous owner purchased this MG in 1967.
This Motor Car can be viewed by prior appointment at the owners home near Ilkeston, Derbyshire, with very good access from the M1 Road and the Mainline Railway. It has been enthusiast owned and has been kept alongside other open classic cars.
