Here we have an excellent example of one of the last E30 3 Series Convertibles. This is one of the very rare, Neon Blue Motorsport Design Convertibles. They made only 200 Design Edition Convertibles, approx 150 Blue and 50 Green. So this is 1 of 150 examples, making it one of the rarest E30’s.
This example is finished in Neon Blue Metallic. The bodywork and paintwork are in excellent condition throughout, a lovely deep shine, the colour really goes well with this shape and the Black soft top. Look closer and you will see this example is remarkably solid and original. There is no rust on this car, feel around all front and rear arches, you just get a lovely solid lip, front wings never been off etc. Look under the doors, sills, jacking points, its all just as good.
Obviously, on any classic convertible, the condition of the roof is important. The roof on this car is in very good condition, the roof opens in seconds with ease.
Inside this car comes with the ‘Design Edition’ pinstriped Recaro interior. As you can hopefully see from the many pictures and video on our website, this interior is in amazing condition, the depth of colour on the patterned cloth is superb.
This car has comes from a lovely collection of classic BMW’s. The owner travels all over to find the best examples. A downsizing of available storage as led to the owner letting go of this example. This car has just been fully serviced by highly regarded BMW specialists – PMW, ready for sale. On top of the service they replaced the cambelt and gave it a YEARS MOT.
