Description
THIS is my 1965 Morris 1100 Mark 1. As with many makes and models, I always tend to think that the original versions stand up today as being the best, or at least the prettiest. This being a Mark 1 has a much prettier front end, radiator grille, bonnet chrome strip and large Morris badge. The interior is the Mark 1 too with the dash pod being a straight lift from the Austin A40. Note the original, bright red seats which are also of better quality on the Mark 1 as opposed to the later versions. She has her original buff log book, probably because she has been stored for many years. She is of Northern Ireland origin and therefore a UK car. Chassis number on the car matches the log book. I drove her around 15 miles this morning and she was very peppy indeed. A really enjoyable drive in a car displaying excellent handling and non signs of bouncing around on the hydrolastic suspension. She sits very well too. An ideal opportunity to acquire a 1960s classic at an affordable price. A perfect car for making your debut in the classic car scene.
My classic cars are motoring antiques. Please do not confuse them with your one-year-old Range Rover. This car, for example, is 57-years-old and so will have quirks and faults in there somewhere. These are not always apparent when buying and selling classics which is what I do. I do not restore them, nor do I pretend that they are concours cars. The majority of them go out as they came in, and I continue to enjoy finding more - a skill which is becoming increasingly difficult as many of you will be aware. They deserve to be taken on as "family pets" and cared for through thick and then. They don't make them any more and demand now out-strips supply. Please bear all this in mind, and enjoy your classic car. I can also assist with delivery and so please ask for a quote. Thanks, Martin. the details below.
