1963 Porsche 356B T6 Super 90 Coupe

• One of 2, 228 Karman Coupes produced in 1963
Originally delivered on August 14, 1963, by Brumos Porsche of Jacksonville, Florida, finished in Light Ivory (color code 6204) with a Black leatherette interior.
According to the Kardex, the first owner was Robert Winkler from Slidell, Louisiana.
The floor pans are original; the battery box floor will need to be replaced along with the passenger side longitudinal.
This was a special ordered Super 90 Coupe with the correct exterior trim, glass, bumpers, and hubcaps.
The interior has the original VDO instrumentation, steering wheel, seats, and door panels.
Mechanically this 356 does not currently run or drive and will need a full cosmetic and mechanical restoration.
The 1600cc flat-four Super-90 engine is matching (type 616/ 7) paired with a 4-speed manual transmission (type 741/ 2C), factor compensator bar and four-wheel drum brakes.

History
The 356 B T6 body was the last 356 body change until the end of production. It was introduced in September of 1961 for the 1962 to 1963 model year. It featured four-wheel ribbed drum brakes all around with better cooling, as well as three options of the 1600cc pushrod engine. The rear deck now had twin grills for better cooling of the engine, the front hood was squared off in the front and the fuel tank was changed to include an outside fuel fill with a fuel door. The best of all the 356 transmissions was the 741, which was like shifting threw butter with full synchromesh manual 4-speed, and of course, the ZF steering box made the 356s a joy in the corners!
