This little Austin Seven Opal first came to us in 2013, in a very sorry state. It has since been transformed by the current owner to whom we sold the car, from and ugly duckling - into a beautiful swan!! An extensive renovation has been very well executed over the last few years and the car is now in excellent condition throughout. Renovation work included a complete strip down, new ash frame where necessary and professional, high quality repaint. The interior has been professionally reupholstered, including leather seats, new and correct door cards (which actually house the side screens) and rubber mats to the floors. The hood, side screens and hood cover (all in canvas) are new and are very high quality – they actually fit, and all the studs work. Mechanically, the car has had a full going-over with rebuild of engine, gearbox, back axle, running gear, suspension, carburettor, electrics and more. Powder coated wheels and nearly new tyres, stripped and sealed fuel tank – you name it and it has been done. The car drives very nicely with easy to use 4-speed gearbox (crash on first) and good brakes – for an Austin Seven. Good history file and current V5C – all in all, just perfect for the upcoming Austin Seven Centenary celebrations – what are you waiting for?!
