Fiennes Showroom are delighted to offer this very presentable example of the very desirable Series 1 Jaguar E Type Fixed head coupe. Fitted with the straight six 3. 8ltr original engine and the 4 speed manual gearbox you are treated to the beautiful exhaust note from the recently fitted stainless exhaust system.
887548 was originally supplied to Jaguar Cars New York and has retained its original colour features such as the favored Opalescent blue external paint and the Navy blue leather interior finished off with the aluminum centre console.
On the outside this seems to be a rust free example with minor paint imperfections. The chrome is in excellent condition and complemented by the ever popular wire wheels.
Recent works carried out is a full fluid service, new electronic ignition for that maintenance free motoring, a new stainless steel exhaust system and electric fan.
Upon test drive the engine starts with ease and runs very well, the gearbox is smooth and performs well, clutch is slightly high with minor judder upon pull away but certainly not affecting its performance. The suspension is tight and the steering and brakes performed as it should.
