Back just in time for the sun, this 1988 BMW 325i Convertible. Finished in Gloss Red with a Black Leather interior and Black Mohair soft-top roof. We last supplied this car to its current owner some 7 years ago.
The car has only covered 70, 260 miles from new and is a genuine UK supplied, right-hand drive, pre-facelift E30 cab that has never been bastardised. We last sold this car on behalf of a good friend and client who had spent months looking for the right car when buying and then continued to pamper the car throughout his ownership.
Accompanying the car is a sizeable folder of invoices, old MOTs, tax discs etc. documenting most of the car’s life.
Today, the car is in need of some cosmetic attention, hence the price. The car runs and drives fantastically however it will need a new soft-top roof as the current one is fraying around the edges and has a few small wear patches in it that would render it no longer watertight. This hasn’t been an issue for the current owner/ vendor who has kept it garaged and used it sparingly on high days and holidays since we sold it to them. The paintwork is also lacking in places and would really want repainting from the waistline up to bring it back to perfect. The underside is very good and there is no rust or rot. We would estimate £3, 000-4, 000 worth of work (soft top and paintwork) to bring this car largely up to its former glory and then anticipate the car in today’s market could be worth around £20, 000 if not more.
