HOLDING DEPOSIT RECEIVED ON THIS VEHICLE
This stunning Rover has had just 3 former keepers from new. It was sold new by Colliers Ltd in Birmingham to local company Ratcliffs (GB) Ltd and registered on 20th November 1971. It was a chauffeur driven company car and it was kept by them for 8 years, when in 1979 the chauffeur, a Mr Alfred Hathaway retired, he was given the car as a leaving present.
Mr Hathaway kept the Rover for 4 years before selling it to a Mr John Slater, who in turn owned it for 27 years before selling it to the gentleman we purchased it from. This owner maintained it meticulously over the years and spent considerable money in 2014 on restoration, dealing with all the usual weak areas. The car was then painted in its original admiralty blue with silver birch roof. The paintwork today is more or less flawless and a testament to the quality of work carried out. The rostyle wheels are in good order and it has radial tyres al round.
The interior has been fitted with new carpets and seats belts and the woodwork has been revarnished.
On the road the Rover performs faultlessly. We have just fitted all new coolant hoses and new battery. The car starts willingly from cold with manual choke, so no problems with the auto choke unit
It comes with an extensive history file dating back to new including old mots, tax discs and heritage certificate, also it’s original Rover handbook and dealer booklet
This is a really lovely car and undoubtably the best example we have offered. We welcome any inspection or are happy to send more pictures or details on request
